PERSONAL PROFILE

My first job out of college was teaching junior high school in a private, church sponsored school system.  It was there that I quickly learned how to connect with teenagers.  I learned to have conversations with them and connect, not just talk at them.

I eventually earned a Master’s and a Doctorate in School Administration and following a few years in the classroom, spent over 25 years as a school principal and school superintendent.  Because I was working for a religious denomination, I was asked to become an Executive Pastor of the church I was attending and was eventually ordained.

As I was transitioning into the ministry, I went back to school and began a second Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with the goal of opening a private practice sometime in the future.  And the rest is history.  Helping people live happy, healthy lives with loving relationships has become my passion.

My wife and I met in college. We have two children and 3 grandchildren.  I am blessed by having a great life partner and a great family.

I believe my background enables me to bring a wealth of life experiences to my practice.

I am also affiliated with The Counseling Team International in San Bernardino, California.
